The last cross country ever yasssss
At first I was really nervous and just wanted to get it over and done with. After the first lap of the field I was actually beginning to enjoy myself! It soon began to get a little harder since I was getting kinda puffed. I just kept on running. During the second lap of the astro turf my legs felt like they were starting to fail me. My knees began to feel unsteady and my thighs and calfs felt like they were burning! As I was running towards behind the steps people were cheering me on and it gave me this extra little bit of power and I started to run a little faster. As I was running towards the finish line all of these people were screaming at me (in a good way) and it made me start to sprint and eventually. . . I finished the cross country!
I definitely think that I showed perseverance during the cross country. All I wanted to do was to lie down and breathe. But I kept on going because I knew I had to and I did not want to get a DNF, did not finish.
People were supporting me and they were supporting everyone else too. In my perspective, everybody showed Empathy. It was so cool to see other students supporting other students!
I am sooo happy that I never have to do it again
Great post India - lots of good descriptions!
