My favourite event this year would of had to been the book charter day. I was dressed up as a cow with Jessica but everybody had amazing costumes I really liked Katie's coustume.

The big day out
As you know I haven't been to a big day about be four but I have herd a lot and it sound like so much fun I think maybe we will go to the tramp park or the zoo somewhere like that I hope it is somewhere like trampak or mission inflatables or bowling something really fun like that 

As you know I haven't been to a big day out sooo I don't know what it is like but I think it is it sounds fun.

book week

HELLO HELLO 

Book week so i am going to be telling you about book week which was last week.

I am going to be telling you about my 3 favorite events.

Kate De Goldi
As you probably know Kate De Goldi came to visit us and she talked about her books that she wrote and where she got some of her inspiration from for her books. She also showed us some of her old story's from when she was a kid.  The books she told us about were really interesting. I have read the book From the Cutting Room of Barney Kettle and we are reading ABC in class at the moment.

Golden Ticket Hunt
I really enjoyed the golden ticket hunt, especially when I found a golden ticket with Niamh . The golden ticket that we found was outside room 11 where the star wars stuff was . The clues were hard and challenging but fun and I had a lot of fun trying to work them out with my friends.

Book Character Parade
The book character parade was pretty awesome. Seeing everybody dressed up as a character from a book was quite a sight. Even all the teachers were dressed up! I had a lot of fun with my friends at the parade, everybody looked really good in their costumes. Jessica and I were cows. I really liked Grace's grapes costume.

  

AFL !!!!

HELLO HELLO

Last week the school got taught how to play AFL.  About 2 classes went
 down at a time to get  taught.  Our class went down with Room 12


last week.  We were  kicking the ball to our partner.  One of the catchphrases that I remember
was "Laces away from the faces".  We basically just learnt how to kick a ball.
At the end, some of the adults lined up across the court and we had to try kick
the ball at them.



This week we learnt how to pass an AFL ball. The pass is called hand ball it hurt my hand a lot. It was so much fun.

TV show

Hello hello
Ok so this week we had to talk about our favourite TV show so I choose....... Keeping up with the kaimanawas

Keeping up with the kaimanawas is a show about how 3  sisters Viki Kelly Amanda Wilson  who attempt to train wild  and sometimes dangerous horses and as you can imagine it's not easy. Viki the oldest sister is one of the best show jumpers in NZ and is also the bravest out of the 3 from training wild horses to sitting bear back on a wild horses - crazy right. I love this program because it is all about horses and at one of the biggest shows in NZ called horses of the year.

HELLO HELLO HELLO

This week we have to talk about our future jobs.

The 1ST thing I would like to be is a Vet. Of course I would specialise in horses
I love animals so I think it would be awesome to see animals just about every day.
But I don't know if I would be able to see animals getting put down :(

To be a Vet you need to take Chemistry, Phisics, Biology, Maths and English.
Things I could do to help getting into vet school would be to volunteer at the zoo or help out at the cattery.

Hello hello welcome back 

 I have chosen to tell you about the Thompsons riding school holiday program! It was really fun and I really enjoyed it!   I went with one of my BFFs Niamh  and Niamh  has not been riding for years so she is not as good as the other riders but that's ok they are all pros so!! I took my pony Oscar and Niamh rode a pony called cookie he was so cute Niamh loved him.we did so many fun thing like jumping (not high)and swimming at the lake.

The artist I am going  to tell you about is Leonardo Da Vinci


ABOUT LEONARDO DA VINCI


Born on April 15, 1452, in Vinci, Italy, Leonardo da Vinci was concerned with the laws of science and nature, which greatly informed his work as a painter, sculptor, inventor and draftsman. His ideas and body of work—which includes "Virgin of the Rocks," "The Last Supper," "Leda and the Swan" and "Mona Lisa"—have influenced countless artists and made da Vinci a leading light of the Italian Renaissance.

Here is the first painting I have chosen of his "The first supper"

The thing that I like about this painting is that it looks so real

it is just an amazing peace of art.

The Mona Lisa is my favourite painting of his her body is shaped well and the background is amazing I don't know why it is my favourite.

 Personally I don't want to change the flags but if I had to my four favourite flag would be:

The Black jack flag. I think it looks a lot like the flag we have now just a touch of maori in it, which I like and I also like the colours.




















The Silver fern flag. This flag doesn't look like the flag we have now but it represents all of the new Zealand sport uniforms and the colours are the same as what we have now which I think look nice.

The Blue koru flag. I like this flag because it looks like a big wave and waves as you know are on beaches and New Zealand has a lot of lovely beaches and it is very nice and plane.

The Land Of The Long White Cloud flag. I like this flag because it is a lot different to all of the other flag not only the top 40 but also form the other counters and the colours are amazing.



















Out of all of the four flags my favorite would be the Black jack flag because it is the closest to the flag now.Because as you know I don't really want to change the flag.

ART ART AND MORE ART

This term as you know we have been doing a lot of art well room 11 has.
I will tell you  some of the things we have done falling from space, drawing hats, an animal, demented star.


My favourite art was doing the falling from space were you had to trace your hands and feet and then draw your body and then it looked like you were falling from space it was so cool.  


My least favourite was drawing the hats and you had to put little tiny diamond on it witch took for ever and I did just did not like it.


I would like to improve on my shading and painting skill as I am very bad at shading and when I paint I get paint all over the page.

My Holiday

                         



Hello all readers how was your holiday? I hope you had an awesome  time.


Now to talk about my holiday I am only going to tell you about one day, the day that I went to pony camp with my pony Oscar. It all started in the early morning of  the last Monday of the school holidays. I had to wake up at 5.30am to go and give my pony his breakfast,  give him a brush, put his cover on and load all of his covers and my saddle and bridle last but not least I loaded him on to the float and off we went  two hours later. When we arrived at the camp in Waikanae I quickly unloaded him off the float and put him in the stable. He was such a good boy. Soon after I said goodbye to my mum because it was a kids only camp



 After all of the kids had arrived we all saddled up and went for a ride by the beach. It was so much fun my friend Ariana rode bareback along the beach. We saw another group of horses and riders. By the time we got back it was time to rug all of the ponies up and but them to bed in the stable. I could not wait for the next day when we went for dressage in the arena.

For the  past term we have been going to Nairnville. At the start we did gymnastics then ripper rugby and now we are learning about  soccer. My favourite thing so far has been  ripper rugby,  my least favourite  is soccer as you don't really learn skills from it so far. I have learnt a lot from the rest of the activities. I can't wait to see what we are doing next. I hope it is netball or something fun like that. And one more thing I really like the big trampoline that they had at one of the gym session.
 I don't think I need to push my self more.

Guten Tag!

In class we've been learning German every Thursday.  I've learnt a lot  and I really enjoy it. We have learnt  how to say you name and ask peoples names. We have also learnt  number to 30, how to say how old you are and what month you were born in.  As well as learning how to ask how you are and lots more. I think it was very good to learn if you go to Germany you can talk  and understand German

For The Love Of Horses - by Kelly Wilson

Hello as you all know, I love HORSES so I read a book on them called: For the Love of Horses



The first part of the book is about how the Wilson family makes goals of owning some land for the horses and themselves. They did not have a lot of money and travelled a lot to look at horses.  It is obvious that they did not start off as rich horse or land owners, but a love of horses and adventure drove them to succeed at the highest levels in horse competitions around New Zealand and other parts of the world.

In the second half of the book the story of the Kaimanawas is a moving account of the struggles of re-homing these horses, who had only ever known the wild. they have turned   the wild horses from just being in the wild and not known at all to the best horses in New Zealand. The second half of the book also talks about their camp that they started to run for kids who wanted to improve their riding.

This term  as you know from about the start of the term to about now (week 6)  we have been learning about the Galapagos island.We have been watching  the David  Attenborough DVD, learning facts about the animals that live in the Galapagos. My favourite animal on the Galapagos is the blue footed booby with their  cute blue feet.They live on the rocky shores on the Galapagos. The history in the Galapagos is really interesting  like in the olden days  the fishing boats would pull up on Pinta island  and kill the Pinta  tortoise as it was on the way  to south America. I think we have learnt a lot about the  land animals but no so much the water animals so I think we should  learn more about the the under water animals like fish :) I think for social study we should learn  history.

This year my responsibilities are: Tech support and Enviro team

Tech support

So far this year  I have not helped any one yet as my job has  only

been  checking of the computers. I have enjoyed checking the computer so far.

I have learnt new shortcuts and new and improved ways of using the computers.
 I have found remembering  to check the computer at lunch time the most challenging.


Enviro Team



The Enviro team  have not done anything yet so I can not tell you much about the job yet :(
the thing I don't like so far is taking the stinky rubbish  :)

On Wednesday we had a financial literacy person come and talk to us about ways to save and make money.He was very funny.He told us way like If you want things how to save up for things but still have money to spend on other stuff. I think it was very worth while it was very fun😄😃😄

Hello all as you know it was mission fair last Friday it was great. My group was Lalapaluza in Room 12. you could get your nail done, buy origami, popcorn, milkshakes , get your hair done like hair spry, make cup cakes.

The thing i think we  would to better next year is putting all the food together and all the  nails hair and stuff like that together

the thing that went well was that we all worked together. It was a lot of fun and cant wait till next time!!!

Last week we had to make a power point on a cricket team. I was with Sylvia and we chose UAE. The power  point  was ok but we messed some of it up but it turned out pretty good (The power point that is). The poster was good  and we only got stopped a bit by Mr McGurk.

what I learnt this week

This week I learnt how to draw a ten cent coin. Pretty amazing ay!!


I learnt how to draw it because it was part of our legend task.


As you would think it was very hard to read because it was so small and I didn't have my glasses!

is to go horse riding on my pony called Daisy.
